Priyanka & Sai Krishna
Priyanka & Sai Krishna map Vizag's budget eats, one reel at a time on @itsurfoodies
A Vizag couple's Instagram page reviews street food and budget restaurants with exact prices and locations, in the Telugu-English mix the city speaks.
Every city has a food map that is not printed anywhere.
The punugulu cart that comes back after a break. The small hotel where biryani is cheap but good. The new place where the menu starts at just ten rupees.
Priyanka and Sai Krishna draw that map for Visakhapatnam.
Together they run @itsurfoodies, an Instagram page that calls itself a "TASTY FOOD WORLD" made by "Couple Food Bloggers" from Vizag.
What the Page Is About
The bio is simple and friendly.
It welcomes people into their "tasty food world" and asks them to follow for more "Tindi kaburulu" — food talk, in plain Telugu.
That one phrase tells you who the page is for.
It is not written for food critics in big cities. It is written for people in Vizag who want to know where to eat today, and how much it will cost.
Local, Specific and Budget-Friendly
Look at the way their posts are captioned. A few examples from public listings of the page:
"Menu started from 10/- Only — Location: Kukaroko, Near Governor Bungalow, Vizag."
"Our Favourite Punugulu Bandi is Back to LIC building opp."
"Chicken fry piece biryani — Budget lo super biryani."
Notice three things.
Every post has a price or a clear reason to go.
Every post has an exact location that a Vizag person can recognise.
And the language is the way people in the city actually speak — Telugu and English mixed together.
This is not fancy writing. It is useful writing.
Reaching Beyond Their Own Followers
The numbers on influencer directories show something interesting.
In a September 2026 listing, @itsurfoodies had about 32K followers, but the page's reels were averaging about 63K plays each.
That means many of the people watching their reels did not follow the page yet.
This is how short video works today. A good, useful reel travels to new people in the same city.
The same listing showed that more than half of the page's audience (about 54%) is in Visakhapatnam itself.
For a local food page, that is exactly the right audience. A restaurant near Governor Bungalow does not need viewers in Delhi. It needs hungry people in Vizag.
Working as a Couple
Running a page as a pair has clear advantages.
One person can film while the other tastes and talks. Two people can share ideas, editing and replies to followers.
The page also points to a separate account for Priyanka, who is listed in the bio as the "Girl Admin" (@itsurpriya).
Many creators today build a shared brand and personal accounts side by side. The shared page carries the main content. The personal pages let each person show their own voice.
What Students Can Learn
You do not need an expensive camera or a big city to start creating.
You need a subject you understand better than most people around you.
For Priyanka and Sai Krishna, that subject is the food of their own city.
Here is what their page shows, step by step:
Pick a clear topic. Food in Vizag. Not "everything".
Be useful. Give price, location and an honest opinion.
Speak in your audience's language. If your city speaks Telugu-English, write that way.
Stay consistent. A page grows when people know what to expect from it.
Think local. A small audience in one city is valuable to local businesses.
Skills Behind a Food Page
A food page looks like fun, and it is.
But behind every short reel there are real job skills:
Shooting video on a phone in poor restaurant lighting.
Editing a reel to under a minute without losing the important details.
Writing short captions that make people want to visit.
Talking with restaurant owners and planning visits.
Reading the numbers — plays, saves, audience location — to see what works.
These are the same skills that marketing agencies, restaurants and brands look for when they hire for social media roles.
The Lesson
Your own street, your own city, your own food — that is already content.
Start with what you know. Be specific. Be honest about prices.
One reel at a time, you can build a page people trust.
And a page people trust is the beginning of a career.
