Early life and education
Padmasree Warrior was born and raised in a middle-class household in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. She pursued her undergraduate studies in India before moving to the United States for further education.
Career
Warrior joined Motorola in 1984, where she spent 23 years ascending through various roles, culminating as the company's first female Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President. In 2008, she transitioned to Cisco as the Senior Vice President of Engineering and later served as the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.
In 2019, Warrior founded Fable, a digital platform designed to enhance mental well-being through curated reading experiences.
